The Gosford
Classic Car Museum Collection
HUNDREDS OF EXTRAORDINARY VEHICLES.
ONE REMARKABLE COLLECTION.
At the heart of the Gosford Classic Car Museum was an extraordinary collection of hundreds of vehicles spanning different eras, countries and style of motoring.
Established by Australian entrepreneur Tony Denny, the collection brought together classic, vintage, luxury and performance vehicles under one roof, giving visitors an unforgettable experience and a rare opportunity to see decades of automotive design and engineering in a single location.
HUNDREDS OF VEHICLES, DECADES OF MOTORING HISTORY
The Gosford Classic Car Museum collection grew to encompass hundreds of vehicles, creating a broad representation of automotive history. Visitors could move from elegant European classics to American muscle cars, distinctive Australian models and exotic vehicles from around the world.
EUROPEAN CLASSICS &
LUXURY CARS
European motoring featured prominently throughout the collection, with vehicles from renowned manufacturers including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Porsche and Rolls-Royce, alongside many other iconic marques.
From elegant grand tourers and luxury saloons to high-performance sports cars, the European component of the collection showcased the very best of automotive design across generations.
AUSTRALIAN MOTORING HISTORY
The collection also celebrated Australia’s own automotive heritage, with locally significant vehicles displayed alongside international classics.
Their inclusion made the museum accessible to all visitors and highlighted the importance of Australian-built cars in the country’s motoring history.
AMERICAN MUSCLE & AUTOMOTIVE ICONS
American motoring formed another distinctive part of the collection, with classic muscle cars, convertibles and large luxury vehicles representing an era of bold styling and powerful performance.
These vehicles provided a striking contrast to their European counterparts and added to the diversity and appeal of the museum.
RARE, UNUSUAL AND UNEXPECTED VEHICLES
Part of the unique appeal of the Gosford Classic Car Museum was never quite knowing what you would see next.
Beyond traditional classic cars, the collection included motorcycles, specialist vehicles and unique pieces of automotive history. This variety gave the museum an eclectic character and allowed lesser-known vehicles to be displayed alongside some of the world’s most recognisable names.
MORE THAN A STATIC COLLECTION
The vehicles formed part of Automotive Invests automotive business, with cars acquired, displayed and sold during the museum’s operation. The museum environment provided a distinctive way of presenting these vehicles while creating a genuine attraction for the public.
This relationship between the museum and Automotive Invest later became significant during the company’s dispute with the Australian Taxation Office, which ultimately reached the High Court of Australia.
